Repercussions Of Drunkenness

*Drunkenness* is the state of being drunk of alcohol.
*Drunkenness* is a habitual problem of excessive consumption of strong drink.
*Drunkenness* has several side effects which includes intoxication, drowsiness, slurred speech, mental confusion, impaired judgment, blackout, incoordination, mood and behavior changes, uncontrollable sexual urge and lack of self control.
*Drunkenness* also has so many uncountable health related issues which include anaemia, amnesia, gastritis, diabetes, liver disease, nerve damage, permanent damage to the brain, high blood pressure, cancer of the mouth and throat etc.
*Drunkenness* can also expose someone to avoidable problems like domestic violence, sexual harassment, rape, accident and untimely death.
Year after year thousands of young youths are ending up in prisons, hospitals and grave because of excessive intake of alcohol.
Several others are losing their jobs and academic pursuits because of inordinate behaviors that characterizes drunkenness.
No wonder why the scripture sternly warned us in the book of proverbs 31vs 4
*It is not for kings, O Lemuel, It is not for kings to drink wine, Nor for princes intoxicating drink*
Indeed so many great men and women have gone to early graves as a result of drunkenness.
Several others has messed up their careers, jobs, marriages and reputations because of alcohol.
several young ladies has been raped by sometimes group of Merry seekers after being made to take plenty alcohol at clubs and birthday parties.
*Drunkenness* made Noah to sleep naked and as a result of that incident, he placed curse on his son and grandson (Genesis 9:20-21).
*Drunkenness* made Lot to commit incest with his two daughters (Genesis 19:31-35)
That is the reason why the Bible cautioned us in Roman 13 vs 13
*Let us walk properly, as in the day, not in revelry and drunkenness, not in lewdness and lust, not in strife and envy.*
In Ephesians 5vs 18 God says
*Therefore do not be unwise, but understand what the will of the Lord is.* 
And in verse 18 he concluded
*And do not be drunk with wine, in which is dissipation; but be filled with the Spirit,*
*God gave us all this instructions because Drunkenness Is A Destiny Killer*
