YOUR WEAK LINK

YOUR WEAK LINK

GENESIS 3:1-5
A weak talks about the vulnerable area of your life which the enemy can use to attack or to get to you.
Weak links can as well be either your wife as a man or your husband as a woman.
Your weak link is that thing that the devil knows that you values, trusted and loved so much.
For instance, there are many great men who got into big trouble or mess because of women and there are also many women who perished because of men.
Adam was the first man created by God, but when the devil wanted to attack him, he used Eve which was Adam’s weak link (Genesis 3:1-2)
*Now the serpent was more cunning than any beast of the field which the Lord God had made. And he said to the woman, “Has God indeed said, ‘You shall not eat of every tree of the garden’?”*
*2 And the woman said to the serpent, “We may eat the fruit of the trees of the garden; 3 but of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God has said, ‘You shall not eat it, nor shall you touch it, lest you die*
Do You see what the devil did.
Because he was very wise, he knew that it would be difficult for him to deceive Adam.
So he used his weak link to penetrate him and once Eve fell to the temptation of the devil, her husband Adam stood no chance.
This is the bad side of the old system including the law of Moses.
In those days Salvation and judgement are granted to families because in those days if a man is an idol worshipper, all his household will equally worship idol.
and if a man is just, his family are saved by his good works.
But Jesus brought salvation and made it a personal race, which means that a child can no longer suffer because of his father’s sin.
Job was a perfect and upright man and the Satan knew that he can never be able to break him even with all his afflictions, so he possessed his wife as a tool of persecution against Job (Job 2:9)
*Then his wife said to him, “Do you still hold fast to your integrity? curse god and die*
Samson was another powerful man of valour, but his enemies used a woman to get him (Judges 16:5)
*And the lords of the Philistines came up to her and said to her, “Entice him, and find out where his great strength lies, and by what means we may overpower him, that we may bind him to afflict him; and every one of us will give you eleven hundred pieces of silver*
In the same manner there were people in the past who brought death and shame to their family (Joshua 7:24-25 )
*Then Joshua, and all Israel with him, took Achan the son of Zerah, the silver, the garment, the wedge of gold, his sons, his daughters, his oxen, his donkeys, his sheep, his tent, and all that he had, and they brought them to the Valley of Achor. 25 And Joshua said, “Why have you troubled us? The Lord will trouble you this day.” So all Israel stoned him with stones; and they burned them with fire after they had stoned them with stones*
There are so many ways the devil can use your weak links against you.
Sometimes you might be a very Godly man or Godly woman and then your partner is a froward person.
the devil can use him or her to ridicule you.
you can also be a man or a woman of decent reputation and then your partner is a rough type.
It can bring many questions about your integrity and leadership capabilities.
You can also be nice and accommodating, but if you partner is rude and inconvenient.
The devil can still use such unruly behaviour from your partner to chase away good people from you.
Everyone of us have a weak link which we can never cut out of our lives.
But we should be very careful about them, so that they would not be the reason for our downfall.
